On the 16th of February 2017 Ambassador Edit Szilágyiné Bátorfi paid a visit to the coastal town of Izola where she held talks with the Mayor Mr Igor Kolenc.
On the 15th of February 2017 Ambassador Edit Szilágyiné Bátorfi visited the city of Novo mesto where she met with the city’s Mayor Mr Gregor Macedoni. She also paid a visit to the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and the most important local companies (Krka, Adria, Revoz).
On the 13th of February 2017 our Embassy organised a media event at the Balassi Institute the purpose of which was to present Hungary to Slovenian tourism journalists.
On the 23rd of January, 2017 our Embassy, in cooperation with the Hungarian Cultural Center in Ljubljana, held a gala concert in honour of the Hungarian Culture Day and the first anniversary of the opening of the Ljubljana Balassi Institute.
Hungarian Government has declared the 23rd of January 2017 a national day of mourning in memory of the victims who died in the coach accident in Italy on the 20th of January.
Our Embassy participated in the 23rd annual Christmas charity bazaar, organised by SILA, the Ljubljana International Women's Club.
Dr János Ader, Hungarian President of the Republic awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit to Mr Dušan Snoj, former Slovenian Consul General in Monošter/Szentgotthárd. The presentation ceremony took place on the 23rd of November 2016 at our Embassy.
On the 14th of November 2016 Ambassador Edit Szilágyiné Bátorfi paid an official visit to Nova Gorica.
On the 28th of October 2016 Mr István Simicskó, Hungarian Defence Minister paid a one-day visit to Slovenia where he visited some of the historical sites of the Isonzo Front.
On the 18th of October we celebrated the National Day of Hungary, the 60th anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956.
