On 12 October 2017 the cultural center of our Embassy, the Balassi Institute organized a concert titled Jazz from Central Europe at the Ljubljana Siti teater.
On 4 October 2017, Ambassador Edit Szilágyiné Bátorfi and the other V4 Ambassadors resident in Ljubljana met with the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia Mr. Milan Brglez within the framework of the Hungarian presidency of the Visegrad Group.
On 30 September 2017, Ambassador Edit Bátorfi Szilágyiné received the President of the Association for Women’s Career Development in Hungary Ms. Andrea Ferenczi and members of the association Ms. Katalin Hajós and Dr. Pál Zuti.
On the 27th of September 2017 a Hungarian-Slovenian business conference was held in the Hungarian town of Vonyarcvashegy.
Hungarian ultra-athlete Pál Hidvégi-Üstös will be the first person in the world to run 3,000 kilometres, all the way along the stretch of the Danube.
At the invitation of Mr. Iztok Mirošič, State Secretary at the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Szabolcs Takács, Minister of State for EU Affairs at the Office of the Prime Minister of Hungary paid an official visit to Ljubljana on 27 September 2017.
On the 14th and 15th of September 2017 a series of events introducing the Hungarian city of Pécs took place in three Slovenian cities.
On the 18th of September 2017, Ambassador Edit Szilágyiné Bátorfi attended the opening event of the project “Iron Curtain Cycling – creating a common cycling tourist destination aimed at integrating the border area divided by the Iron Curtain”.
To mark the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Caporetto, the Kobarid Museum, in cooperation with the Tolmin Municipality and several Slovenian and foreign historical societies, organised a historical re-enactment of the famous battle.
On the 11th of September 2017, our Embassy held the opening of the V4 Connects Film Festival, the first event to take place during Hungary's Presidency of the Visegrad Group.
