On the 11th of April 2017 the national ice hockey teams of Hungary and Slovenia played a practice match in Celje.
At the invitation of the Slovenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Karl Erjavec Péter Szijjártó, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade paid a visit to Ljubljana on the 6th of April 2017.
Between the 28th and the 29th of March 2017 the teachers and students of the Budapest ELTE Apáczai Gyakorlógimnázium és Kollégium high school paid a visit to the Gimnazija Vič high school.
Between the 14th and the 30th of July 2017 Budapest will host one of the most important sports events of the year – the FINA World Championships.
On the 24th of March 2017 the Koper-based University of Primorska hosted a joint Slovenian-Hungarian Rectors’ Conference which was attended by close to 30 institutions of higher education. The purpose of the conference was to promote cooperation and exchange of experiences between universities.
On the 22nd of March 2017 Mr Tadej Bajd, the President of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, visited Budapest at the invitation of Mr György Fekete, the President of the Hungarian Academy of Arts.
On the 23rd of March 2017 our Embassy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary organised the “Together in Africa” Slovenian-Hungarian joint business conference in Ljubljana.
On the 13th of March 2017 our Embassy and the Ljubljana-based József Attila Cultural Society organised an event in memory of the 1848-1849 revolution and war for independence.
