On the 24th of March 2017 the Koper-based University of Primorska hosted a joint Slovenian-Hungarian Rectors’ Conference which was attended by close to 30 institutions of higher education. The purpose of the conference was to promote cooperation and exchange of experiences between universities.
The event was opened by Mr László Palkovics, State Secretary for Higher Education at the Hungarian Ministry of Human Capacities and Ms Maja Makovec Brenčič, Slovenian Minister of Education, Science and Sport. After the presentation of the rectors’ conference and the higher education system of both countries, the representatives of the universities took part in a discussion focusing on current issues in higher education and the possibilities of Slovenian-Hungarian cooperation.
