On the 16th of February 2017 Ambassador Edit Szilágyiné Bátorfi paid a visit to the coastal town of Izola where she held talks with the Mayor Mr Igor Kolenc.
The Ambassador and the Mayor discussed the possibilities of cooperation between Izola and Hungarian twin towns. They also talked about other possible areas of cooperation, such as tourism, medical tourism, drawing of EU funds, smart city development.
Before meeting with the Mayor the Ambassador also visited the University of Primorska in the nearby city of Koper where she met with Rector Mr Dragan Marušič and his colleagues. Their talks focused on the strengthening of cooperation between the University and Hungarian higher education
