On the 28th of October 2016 Mr István Simicskó, Hungarian Defence Minister paid a one-day visit to Slovenia where he visited some of the historical sites of the Isonzo Front.
The Minister took a look at the Austro-Hungarian defensive tunnels and caverns found on the Sabotin Hill and later on joined Miloš Bizjak, State Secretary at the Slovenian Defence Ministry in attending the commemoration held at the Autro-Hungarian Military Cemetery in Solkan. As part of his visit, the Minister also met with Nova Gorica Mayor, Matej Arčon. The Minister was accompanied by Ambassador Ms Edit Szilágyiné Bátorfi.
