In the framework of the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, our Embassy organized a business conference entitled Labour Market Trends and Competitiveness in Central and Eastern Europe.
The conference, which took place on 5 November 2024 in Ljubljana, was attended by representatives of the Hungarian and Slovenian government and business. During the conference, representatives of the Hungarian Ministry of Finance, the Slovenian Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport, the Slovenian Ministry of the Interior, and leading Slovenian companies reviewed the current challenges related to the competitiveness of the regional labour market. This was followed by an interactive panel discussion featuring an exchange of experiences and ideas regarding the employment of third-country nationals.
