At the invitation of Mr. László Kövér, President of the National Assembly of Hungary Mr. Milan Brglez, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia paid an official visit to Budapest on 23 and 24 November 2017.
In Budapest the two speakers opened a ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of the Slovenian-Hungarian cooperation in the protection of minorities. As part of his visit the Slovenian Parliamentary Speaker was also received by Mr. János Áder, Hungarian President of the Republic and he also met with Mr. Péter Szijjártó, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mr. István Tarlós, Mayor of Budapest, and representatives of the Slovenian minority in Hungary.
