On the 10th of July 2017 the foreign ministers of the Visegrad Group held their first official meeting under the Hungarian V4 presidency. The ministers were joined by delegations of the Austrian, Slovenian and Croatian foreign ministries.

The debate focused on the European integration of the Western Balkans, the situation in Ukraine, Central-European infrastructural connections and the migration crisis. On the sidelines of the meeting Hungarian and Slovenian foreign ministers Péter Szijjártó and Karl Erjavec held bilateral talks. The ministers discussed the decision of the arbitral tribunal concerning the Slovenian-Croatioan border, transport and energy connections between the two countries, as well as bilateral and regional cooperation.
