On 30 June 2021, at an event marking the handover of the Presidency of the Visegrád Group from Poland to Hungary, Krzysztof Olendzki, Polish Ambassador in Ljubljana symbolically handed over the V4 Presidency in Slovenia to Hungarian Ambassador in Ljubljana Andor Dávid.
The event featured a performance of Slovenian-Polish string quartet Floris performing pieces by Central European composers. The Hungarian Presidency of the Visegrád Group began on 1 July 2021 and will last for a year.
