On 6 October 2022, the Embassy of Hungary in Ljubljana and the Ljubljana Liszt Institute organized a commemoration to mark the execution of the Arad Martyrs.
The event took place at the Ljubljana castle, in front of the memorial plaque dedicated to Count Lajos Batthyány, the Prime Minister of the first independent Hungarian government. The commemoration was attended by Hungarians and Slovenians living in Ljubljana, Prekmurje/Muravidék and Porabje/Rába-vidék. The students of the József Attila Hungarian Cultural Association’s afternoon school, as well as friends of the Association prepared a short recital in memory of the martyrs executed during the Freedom Fight.
