On June 11 2024, in celebration of Hungarian Defence Forces Day a commemoration and reception were held at the residence of the Hungarian Ambassador in Ljubljana.
At the event, Ambassador Andor Ferenc Dávid and Defence Attaché Colonel László Kaputa held speeches commemorating the establishment of the Hungarian Defence Forces 175 years ago and stressing the importance of the Glorious Spring Campaign and the Recapture of Buda Castle. During the turbulent historical periods of the past 175 years, Hungarian soldiers always tried to draw strength from the courage, self-sacrifice and patriotism of the heroes of the revolutionary army of 1848-49.
