On the 14th and 15th of September 2017 a series of events introducing the Hungarian city of Pécs took place in three Slovenian cities.

The series titled Cultural Delicacies from Pécs began in Ljubljana, at the cultural centre of our Embassy, the Balassi Institute, with the opening of the Mecseki Photography Club’s exhibition showing images of this picturesque, 2000 year old city. Other events included the discussion with Primož Repar, the Slovenian participant of the Pécs Writer’s Programme, the concert of the UniCum Laude group and the tasting of local wines from the Pécs and Villány region. The next day several events were held in Lendava and Maribor. Lendava hosted the performance of the Bóbita Puppet Theatre and the concert of the Vivat Bacchus group, while an exhibition on the Zsolnay Porcelain Factory opened in Maribor. The exhibition titled Zsolnay – past, present, future will be opened until the 29th of October at the Regional Museum Maribor.
