On September 21 2023, the Embassy of Hungary in Ljubljana and the Liszt Institute – Hungarian Cultural Center Ljubljana organized a popular science lecture by radiation protection expert and doctor of environmental sciences Dr. Norbert Kávási on nuclear accidents and radiation protection.
In his very interesting lecture, Dr. Kávási shed light on several current issues, presented the history of radioactivity, the basis of radiation protection, and also spoke of what to do in the event of a nuclear accident or emergency. He also presented his personal experiences with the nuclear accident in Fukushima, as well as answered questions from the audience.
