Dr. Tibor Benkő, Minister of Defence of Hungary exchanged views with his Slovenian counterpart, Matej Tonin, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia in Ljubljana on 2 November 2021 on the strengthening of bilateral security and defence cooperation and cooperation in international missions.
The Ministers announced that Slovenia will join the Headquarters Multinational Division Central based in Székesfehérvár. After bilateral talks, the Ministers inaugurated in Nova Gorica the monument dedicated to the fallen Hungarian soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice during the World War One battles along the Soča river.
