On 12 October 2017 the cultural center of our Embassy, the Balassi Institute organized a concert titled Jazz from Central Europe at the Ljubljana Siti teater.
The concert was organized in the framework of the Hungarian Presidency of the Visegrad Group and, in addition to our Embassy, was supported by the Czech, Polish and Slovak Embassy. The event featured a performance by the legendary Slovenian orchestra, the Big Band RTV Slovenija with guest performances by the greatest masters of jazz in Central Europe: the Czech guitarists David Dorůžka, the Polish trumpeter and euphonium player Grzegorz Nagórski, the Hungarian drummer Balázs Balogh and the Slovak contrabassist Štefan "Pišta" Bartuš. The orchestra and its guests made the evening a truly unforgettable experience.
