Between 15 and 21 April 2018 artists from Hungary and twelve other countries took part in the „Art Circle – Art Embassy” art workshop held in Goriška Brda. This was the second time Hungarian artists participated in the workshop. This year, the country was represented by painters Ágnes Bödő, Clementina Boga and Ábel Szabó.
As part of the workshop, Ambassador Edit Szilágyiné Bátorfi opened the Hungarian Art Embassy. The opening took place at the Baša winery in Dornberk on 18 April 2018.
The exhibition of works by painters attending the workshop opened on 20 April 2018 at the Vila Vipolže in Dobrovo. The exhibition was opened by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia Karl Erjavec and Ambassador Edit Szilágyiné Bátorfi who spoke on behalf of all of the participating countries' embassies. During her opening remarks, the Ambassador stressed that art helps present our cultural values in an international context without the barriers of language. It makes it possible for us to understand each other’s points of view and helps us find solutions to the problems we face through open dialogue.
